Senator Oletha Faust-Goudeau (D) was born on August 5, 1959. She studied pre-law at the University of Wichita then became a photography and ardent community activist. Senator Faust-Goudeau began her political career in the Kansas House of Representatives in 2004 and served there until 2008 when she ran for, and won, election in the Kansas State Senate. As a senator she has served as a member on the Committee on commerce and the Joint Commission Arts and Cultural Resources.
